Recovery Update #4

Major progress but still some healing needed.

Today marks exactly 4 weeks since my fall and things are looking good.

On the bike I've done a couple of longer rides and some shorter more intense ones. I have some work to do to improve but at least I'm not limited by any discomfort. I'll hold off on outdoor rides for a bit though. No rush there.

I did an hour of running on the tread this week and overall felt good. I haven't yet raised the intensity yet but I'm ok with where I'm at. I'd like to keep my runs steady in zone 2 anyway so it's fine. I have not run outdoors yet which is a bit inconvenient but again, no rush. I just want to be able to consistently run without re-injuring myself.

In the pool I'm the most behind but luckily, swimming is my strength. So once again, no rush. I've done 500 yards, 8 yards, and today I did 1400 yards. I have not done anything intense, just alternating 1x200 free and 1x200 pull. Going along with theme of the post, no rush in the pool.

I'm pleased with where I am considering the injury. I wish I were in my active recovery week but I can't control any of the now. Next week is week 1 of 16. I know I have a decent base to work from even if I've been forced to rest more than expected.
